Download
The demo is the whole program.
Install it, open your own family file, work in it and save it. Nothing is locked away and nothing is taken from you later: printed pages and PDFs carry a watermark until you buy a licence, and that is the whole difference.
Stamtree for Windows
The download appears here at release.
Two documented sample families come with the program, so there is something to open before your own file exists. See what it looks like.
Version and what is new
The version number and the list of what changed in it appear here with the download, at release.
Inside the program, Help lists the same changes for the version you have installed.
What it needs
- Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit.
- No administrator rights. The installer sets Stamtree up for you alone, in your own account.
- Room for your own family file and its pictures. The program keeps everything on your computer, so nothing else is needed.
Installing offers to open family files with Stamtree when you double
click them: .wfam working files, .ge6 family
files and .wflic licence files. You can decline each one.
New versions
Stamtree can tell you when a newer version exists, and it only looks
when you ask it to, under Help. It reads a short signed file at
https://stamtree.com/release/latest.json. Stamtree signs
that file, and the program believes nothing else: an answer without a
good signature is refused rather than trusted.
The program never checks by itself, never at startup and never on a timer.
After the demo
A licence takes the watermark off your prints and opens the tools each edition carries. It runs for one year, renews until you stop it, and it never touches your file. See the prices.
